Wanderstop

- PC - 90

Wanderstop is a true work of video game art, seamlessly blending storytelling with immersive mechanics. At its core, it’s a narrative-driven tea-making simulator, where brewing tea becomes a ritual of self-discovery, healing, and reflection. Tea-making in Wanderstop is an intricate process, from harvesting leaves and growing fruits to brewing unique blends. The surrounding environment is vast, encouraging exploration and self-reflection. Instead of combat, players engage in maintaining order—sweeping leaves, pruning roots, and discovering hidden treasures. With Ghibli-inspired aesthetics, a breathtaking soundtrack by C418, and a deeply resonant story, Wanderstop offers a uniquely introspective experience. It’s not just a game about making tea — it’s about making peace with oneself.

Monster Hunter Wilds

- PlayStation 5 - 85

Monster Hunter Wilds takes the franchise to new heights with a vast open world, dynamic weather, and a stronger narrative. Featuring improved combat, mount-based fights, and deep multiplayer mechanics, it offers both accessibility and challenge. While some technical issues persist, Capcom delivers an immersive and evolving hunting experience.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

- Nintendo Switch - 87

Echoes of Wisdom is the first Legend of Zelda game to feature Princess Zelda as the protagonist, blending elements from Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom into a charming 2.5D world. The game focuses on puzzle-solving and platforming, with combat taking a backseat. Players use a mechanic called "echoes" to create object copies, solving environmental challenges. The story is simple and mostly delivered through a brief cutscene, and gameplay revolves around closing rifts and interacting with characters. Game has clever design and enjoyable puzzle-solving, making each gaming session rewarding, regardless of length.

Avowed

- PC - 81

Avowed has relatively few moving parts, but they are all in place and work harmoniously. Of course, it shouldn’t be compared to the monstrous Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or even Bethesda’s games. Avowed falls into the same weight class as The Outer Worlds, crafted several levels higher in quality.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

- PlayStation 5 - 92

If not for the graphical limitations of an engine and the series’ typical difficulty spikes, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth would be nearly flawless. The narrative masterfully crafts moments of joy, hope, and sorrow. The sheer amount and quality of additional content can easily stretch your playthrough to a hundred hours, unless you’re not a fan of racing or card games.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

- PC - 85

MachineGames has successfully applied all its expertise in level design, and the gameplay often feels exactly like how we imagined Indiana Jones’ gaming adventures should be. The somewhat limited enemy AI might disappoint at times, but the variety of finishers and interactions with them make up for it — sometimes even eliciting a genuine smile with their unusual reactions to the protagonist. Most importantly, the story of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a joy from start to finish, even if the finale lacks a bit of cinematic flair.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

- Xbox Series - 87

The GSC Game World team has come a long way in creating a fully realized S.T.A.L.K.E.R. experience. And we believe Heart of Chernobyl is closer to that than ever before. Undoubtedly, the moments of warmth you feel when you encounter familiar characers, hear Ukrainian music, or see the recreated landscapes of the Zone add to the joy of being in the game.

LEGO Horizon Adventures

- PlayStation 5 - 65

LEGO Horizon Adventures is a vibrant and humorous reimagining of Horizon Zero Dawn, retaining key elements of the original game. While the game does have some significant simplifications, such as the lack of fast travel and repetitive locations, its short length prevents it from becoming tiresome too quickly.
