Ghost of Yotei

- PlayStation 5 - 84

Ghost of Yotei is a gorgeous, bigger-and-better follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima that refines combat, expands exploration, and delivers one of the most stunning worlds in gaming. Its diverse weapon system and shrine-based progression make every fight and discovery meaningful. However, the side quests are less memorable, the map can feel overcrowded, and UI nags break immersion. It’s an evolution rather than a revolution — but a highly polished and captivating one that fans and newcomers alike shouldn’t miss.

Hell is Us

- PlayStation 5 - 70

Hell Is Us is a game that captivates through its sound, enemy design, and overall grim aesthetic. It immerses you in a world that doesn’t hand out answers but instead encourages and compels you to seek them on your own. For some, this will be a source of frustration; for others, a motivation to uncover the truth and reach the finale. Rogue Factor has managed to create a game that feels both familiar and, in some ways, innovative, though its shortcomings are often just as noticeable as its strengths.

Hollow Knight Silksong

- PC - 95

Team Cherry’s sequel delivers a sprawling, exquisitely detailed Metroidvania that hooks you from the first step in Farlum and doesn’t let go—even when it pushes your patience to the limit. With Lore-rich regions, hundreds of secrets, and orchestral soundscapes, Silksong is visually lush, mechanically deep, and brutally fair in its difficulty. The combat demands precision, the platforming challenges surprise you, and the game’s scale can easily consume 100 hours for full completion. While its economic system falters and the early side-quests feel undercooked, by the final act all the pieces click, rewarding the persistent with some of the best moments the genre has ever seen.

Lost Soul Aside

- PC - 70

After 11 years in development, Lost Soul Aside delivers flashy, responsive hack-and-slash combat with plenty of bosses, varied weapons, and enjoyable exploration. The story and RPG systems are shallow, and technical issues (especially on PC) hold it back, but strong gameplay and visuals make it a solid choice once patched and discounted.

Killing Floor 3

- PC - 78

Killing Floor 3 offers enough new elements to make the gameplay more engaging. This makes the character classes stand out more clearly, each limited to four weapons, with customizable gear, extensive skill trees, and ultimate abilities. However, Tripwire Interactive still needs to refine the movement mechanics, especially the smoothness of enemy animations, their interactions with players, and the sliding mechanic.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

- PlayStation 5 - 96

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach can only be compared to Death Stranding itself. The melancholic journey of ropes has evolved into a action-packed adventure of sticks. In their quest to enhance every aspect of the experience, Kojima and his team went so far as to improve things we didn't even know needed improving. While DS2 is indeed a wonderful evolution of the first game's ideas, it ultimately became something more than just an evolution, it plays in a league of its own.

The Alters

- PC - 86

The Alters is a masterful evolution of 11 bit studios’ signature grim survival formula. Instead of pushing players into abstract moral quandaries, it offers something more personal: a sci-fi tale of regret and self-reconciliation. Stranded on a deadly planet, lone survivor Jan Dolski creates alternate versions of himself — each shaped by paths not taken. These “Alters” are not clones but fully realized personalities, forcing Jan to confront his own failings while managing survival. Beneath its familiar gameplay loop lies a deeply human story about identity, missed chances, and emotional repair. This is survival — not of the body, but of the soul.

DOOM: The Dark Ages

- PC - 94

The attempt to turn Doom Slayer into more of a tank has resulted in action that's more focused on the main character. Successfully deflecting attacks gives an incredible feeling of inner satisfaction and balance. DOOM: The Dark Ages has its rhythm, which allows new players to gradually adjust to the increasing verticality and speed of gameplay found in DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 2

- PC - 62

The story in Tape 2 picks up the pace earlier. However, this is achieved mainly thanks to its compactness, which unfortunately reflects negatively in the number of repeated video recordings, locations, and the variety of objects to explore. Certain moments highlight the beauty of relationships, but they fail to meaningfully develop the mystical aspect, which hardly goes beyond being a catalyst for emotions.

South of Midnight

- PC - 70

The painted style and animations of South of Midnight are undeniably the most striking aspects of the game. Unfortunately, it suffers from the developers' clear focus on visuals and music. Well-designed boss fights can't save the game from repetitive arena encounters and a lack of a real sense of progression. The vibrant and melodic soundtrack slightly enhances some repetitive elements but doesn't fix them.
